What would I do if I loved myself?
It is a simple question. The answer isn’t always.
We make hundreds of small choices every day. Whether to rest. Whether to say yes. Whether to answer the message now or later. Most of them happen before we have time to ask what we actually need. And many of us learned long ago to push through, to please, to leave ourselves a little behind.
This journal is a year of practising something different.
It is built around one question, asked again and again in ordinary moments. Waking up tired. Someone asking for your time. Wanting something simply because you enjoy it. You imagine the moment, ask the question, and then notice what the loving choice feels like in your body. Where you feel it. What happens to your breath.
There is nothing to promise and nothing to get right. Only a gentle, steady return, until love slowly becomes a more familiar place to live from.
Three practice pages a week, on whichever days suit you. At the end of each month, a quiet page to look back and notice what has been growing. The pages are undated and gathered into seasons, so you can begin whenever you are ready and let the question move through the year with you. What is loving in January may not be what is loving in July.
Inside you will find three versions of the same journal, each with its own artwork and palette. One is deep and rosy: plum, peony pink and warm peach, like a late summer garden. One is soft and fresh: sage green, magnolia white and blush, tender as early spring. One is cool and quiet: cornflower blue and white, still and clear. Choose the one that feels like you, or move between them as the year changes.
