The Hidden Herbarium
Step through the door of an old apothecary, where dried herbs hang from wooden beams, handwritten notes rest in linen-bound pages, and the afternoon light falls across jars of lavender and linden.
The Hidden Herbarium is a book to fill with your own green world – your remedies, your teas, your gathered plants, your hands. It does not hand you someone else's recipes. It gives you something rarer: a beautiful, ready-made place to keep your own. Unlike an empty journal, it arrives already shaped. Large watercolour scenes are woven into the book and stay with it, so it feels whole from the very first page. Around them wait empty photo frames for your pictures, gentle spaces for your handwriting, and pages where a little placeholder text can simply be replaced with your own – or deleted, to leave room for ink and pressed flowers. You can change as much or as little as you wish. Even with only small touches, the book is built to be complete and ready to print: room has been left for blank pages, for pressing, for growing.
Inside you will wander through its rooms and corners:
✦ The Hidden Herbarium – pages for pressing real plants and writing their stories
✦ The Recipe Box – space to keep your own herbal recipes
✦ The Tea Shelf – your blends, rituals, and favourite cups
✦ The Herb Drawer – the plant knowledge you gather
✦ The Memory Drawer – memories held in plants and places
✦ The Window Herbarium – little pieces of nature from your windowsill
✦ Women Before Me – pages for the grandmothers, healers, and wise women in your line
✦ The Perfume Cabinet – comforting scents and what they hold
✦ The Writing Nook – quiet corners for whatever wants to be kept
Each chapter opens gently, leaving the words to you.
This is a book made to be lived in and printed: fill what you wish on screen, print the pages, and let the real life begin – pressed flowers between pages, handwriting in the margins, tea stains and all. A herbarium is not finished in a day. It grows with your seasons.
And one day, someone may open it – a daughter, a granddaughter, a friend – and find not a store-bought book, but your own green world: what you grew, what you healed, what you loved. A little piece of the woman you were.
That is what The Hidden Herbarium is for.
Your herbarium, your colours:

Soft forest green – quiet and botanical, like moss and old glass
The only difference is the base colour across the section pages, herbal description pages, cover, and back. Both versions arrive complete. Choose the one that feels like yours.
